As Thanksgiving 2020 winds down, I’m simply grateful. Grateful I have family to cook for- grateful for my children to love and guide- grateful for my home and my health.
Although this year has been daunting and scary at times, it is also a year of appreciation and gratitude.

Maybe it’s a road we don’t like. Maybe we need a long bridge made of wood and strewn together by rope. This is how 2020 feels to me. Forget the sturdy concrete ground- at best we get a flimsy support beneath our feet.
Even after the leaves have fallen and the color has faded the mountains beckon. They remind us that what is will not be and what has been will leave its mark. Together, past and present, make life.
