Leading Through Learning
The truth is known in silence. Be still and know.
Leonard Jacobson
The other day, I couldn’t figure out why I was off. Just a subtle shift- I felt more anxious, more stressed than usual.
And as I was going to bed that evening, it dawned on me. I forgot to meditate that morning.
Meditation is one of those things that simply brings a calm that I only fully recognize when it is absent. Maintaining a balance in a time when chaos seems like the norm only happens when I take care of myself first. Not in a selfish way but in a self-care way.
Exercise, meditation, yoga and writing all provide the self-care I’ve come to rely on more and more. And while the duration and frequency may change week to week, they all are there to bring me back to a place of gratitude.
It’s from this place of gratitude that no challenge is too great and no situation too difficult. It’s from this place I remember that I don’t have to have the answers and that listening is often more important than speaking.
Beautifully said💗😍
